For those of you that have visited us before, you have obviously noticed the style-change in our new website. For those of you that are first-time visitors, Welcome!
Our new site is built around a unique blog architecture. We have chosen this new design for one reason:
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
We encourage you to register (via the link near the upper-righthand corner of the page) and contribute to our blogroll.
If you are in I.T., Web Development or Software/Applications development we encourage you to post your articles here, or comment on some of our existing rambles. We encourage your input and comments, both positive and negative. We want to hear about new innovations, creative ideas, or even if you think we did something dumb at a trade-show and you caught us on video doing so (as it would make a great blooper-reel at the Christmas party).
Please be mindful that not all posts will be accepted and obvious spammers will be removed from our member list, but for the most-part, we genuinely want your content.
Of course, as the lawyers will obviously remind us, that posting anything that is copyrighted without the copyright holders consent is prohibited, a non-no, and generally condsidered rude. We will allow posts with excerpts from other articles as long as it is formatted correctly ([blockquote] Quotation marks, etc) and give appropriate credit to the author in a footnote.
As always, it is considered good form to ask the author for permission if there is any doubt as to whether or not the author would allow or appreciate quotations of there work. As far as Rodes Web Design & Developement is concerned, we wholeheartedly encourage you to quote us! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and if you think that something on our site is so worthwhile that you are willing to steal it and call it your own, so-much-the-better as it just means that we are doing a classy-job with our posts. Feel free to send us a note and tell us where you used it so we can brag about your petty-theft internally! (We promise not to rat you out, we just like to see our words used creatively elsewhere
)
Also, anyone posting on our site automatically must adhere to the same philosophy. Your posts, and comments on other posts may be used in press releases by us and other members, visitors and contributors. As previously stated above, your work may be copied, plagerized and essentially “stolen” from our website and you agree to hold our members, Visitors, Contributors and Rodes Web Design & Development, et al harmless for any circumstances that may result from such copying, plagerization or theft of your written words.
:Sigh: Having said that, just have a good time and tell us what you have to say!
Thanks for choosing Rodes Web Design & Development. We hope you join the community and shout out!
